Welcome to the Waupaca Dental Society. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your membership in the Society and your access to and use of our website at waupacadentalsociety.com (the "Site"), our member portal, and our events and services. By becoming a member, creating an account, or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or our services.
The Waupaca Dental Society is a professional membership association of dentists and dental professionals serving Waupaca County, Wisconsin, located at 112 S Main Street, Clintonville, WI 54929. Our mission is to advance dentistry through continuing education, member support, and community oral-health programs.
Membership is intended for licensed dentists, dental specialists, dental hygienists, dental team members, and dental students with a professional interest in our community. We may request information to confirm your eligibility. We reserve the right to approve, decline, or revoke membership in accordance with our bylaws and these Terms.
Certain features require a member account. You agree to provide accurate, current information and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. We offer two-factor authentication (2FA) to help protect your account; you are responsible for keeping your contact information current so you can receive verification codes. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.
As a condition of membership, you agree to act ethically and professionally, to comply with applicable laws and professional standards, and to treat fellow members, staff, and event participants with respect. You agree not to use your membership or the Site to harass others, misrepresent your credentials, or engage in unlawful or unprofessional conduct.
Membership dues and event or course fees, where applicable, are presented at the time of enrollment or registration. Dues support the Society's educational and community activities. Unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase or required by law, dues and fees are non-refundable. Refund requests for events may be considered in accordance with the cancellation policy stated for that event.
When you register for a meeting, continuing-education course, or event, you agree to any additional rules or requirements stated for that activity. Continuing-education credit, where offered, is subject to the applicable accrediting requirements and your attendance. We may modify, reschedule, or cancel events, and will make reasonable efforts to notify registrants.
By creating an account or contacting us, you agree that we may communicate with you by email regarding your membership, account, and the activities you register for. If you opt in to text messaging, those communications are governed by our SMS Terms & Conditions. You can manage your communication preferences at any time, and you may unsubscribe from non-essential messages.
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes. You may not: attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, the member portal, or connected systems; interfere with or disrupt the Site's operation or security; use automated means to scrape or harvest data; upload malicious code; or use the Site in any way that infringes the rights of others.
All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, and the Waupaca Dental Society name and marks — is owned by or licensed to the Society and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our prior written permission, except as permitted for your personal, non-commercial use as a member.
If you submit content to the Site or member portal (for example, a directory profile or message), you represent that you have the right to do so, and you grant the Society a non-exclusive license to use that content for the purpose of operating our services. You are responsible for the content you submit, and we may remove content that violates these Terms.
The Site may link to third-party websites and services that we do not control. We provide these links for convenience and are not responsible for the content, products, or practices of third parties. Your use of any third-party service is governed by that party's terms and policies.
The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available" for general informational purposes. Content on the Site is not a substitute for professional clinical, legal, or financial advice. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Waupaca Dental Society and its officers, volunteers, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Site or our services.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Waupaca Dental Society and its officers and volunteers from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Site or our services.
We may suspend or terminate your membership or account, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, our bylaws, or applicable law, or if necessary to protect the Society or its members. You may cancel your membership at any time by contacting us; cancellation does not entitle you to a refund of dues already paid except as stated in Section 5.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Site or membership after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You agree that any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Wisconsin, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and SMS Terms & Conditions, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Society regarding the Site and your membership.
We are committed to making the Site accessible to all users. If you encounter difficulty accessing any part of the Site, please contact us and we will work to provide the information or service you need in an accessible manner.
